Pirates Of Grill, Rajouri Garden, New Delhi

This happened to me when I visited Barbeque nation and I loved the concept of Unlimited Buffet as being a big foodie and a hardcore Punjabi I love eating till my belly burst and if that is a Non Vegetarian food there's nothing a great foodie would love.

So started finding all around the Delhi some of the finest restaurants where one can get Unlimited food as a buffet, (Doesn't matter if its On-Table or Live)
I came to know about the place called "Pirates of Grill" as the name was very appealing its a direct competitor of Barbeque Nation as both of them shares the same concept of LIVE BARBEQUE GRILL served to you so simply grill your own food and eat which is quite good for people who comes with friends to chit chat or have a great time with your family.

Barbeque Nation was started in January 2006 and the first Barbeque Nation was launched in Mumbai, whereas today when I specially called Pirates of the grill where I spoke to the manager , "Prashant" and asked about the year when the Pirates of the grill was started when I got a reply that CANNOT BE DISCLOSED to which I was amazed to hear the same.

Having the same concept I had a very high expectations from the place as I already went to Barbeque Nation, Janakpuri where I didn't had a very good experience with the reservations and all ( you may follow the review on Zomato.com/sachinsahni ) I entered the place and it was well located as was just a mere walking distance from Rajouri Garden Metro station quite big and bright banners inviting people to visit the place once and have an experience which was good.

RESERVATIONS : 4 STARS
As Compared to Barbeque Nation where even after calling them for 4-5 times they did not bother reserving for me. Pirates of Grill was awesome on the response as they knew the importance of their guests. Even when I called them back after few days Manager knew my name and greet me and confirmed the reservation which was 10 on 10.The person on the other side when I called them was a Manager named as Aftab who was very polite, humble and addressed my queries and questions very well apart from the cost and prices details about which you may find below in VALUE FOR MONEY section.

AMBIANCE : 3.5 STARS

Similar to Barbeque Nation divided into cubical to give one a personal space but went in the after noon after 12 and was a very dim lighting don't know why but overall was mainly focused on the concept of the PIRATES to keep up to its theme as the walls have the PIRATE SLOGANS TREASURE HUNT MAPS and all but was think do pirates hate light as it was very dark like a cinema hall and the same was been addressed to one of the Captain's as well to which I simply received a Nod but nothing else as a response so, a deduction.

Value For Money : 3.5 STARS

Found the details of this place on zomato and their menu says, MONDAY TO FRIDAY RS. 375/-+(VEG) RS. 399/-+ (MIX) and when I called up to check that what is the price and the menu to which I got a reply 5 Veg and 5 Non Veg starters main course and sweet dishes so went to the place but when took my place was been addressed by a Captain asking me would you like a regular menu or a "Premium One" to which I asked what do they mean by "Premium" they replied that they serve 399+Taxes for 4 Veg and 2 Non Veg Starters only and if you want you may "UPGRADE" to "Premium" where you get 5 Veg and 5 Non Veg starters and it would cost me RS. 525 + Taxes so incl taxes it becomes Rs. 647/- whereas it was nothing told to me before my visit which was an awful surprise. I shared the same with one of the manager's Aftab who told me that he does understand that this should have been told to me before in hand but he wants me to understand that location of their restaurant has a crowd of college students more as compared to Corporate and families but he accepted my feedback right away and decided to make sure that it would be taken care of in future, which was good.

Food : 4 stars

Probably this is the only thing that save some marks for the place and why is that? Because I visited the place 2 TIMES, Yes! 2 Times its not because that it wasn't able to understand the food its just because somewhere somehow the food was very nice. The food is not commendable as their menu changes every week (Told By 1st time attending Manager Aftab) In starters I had mainly focused on the Non - Veg as far as I remember I had Mutton Seekh with a hint of fenugreek which was awesome, Chicken Tandoori Drumstick, Prawn and my favorite was Fish Orley which goes perfect with their Chilly Mayo dip. Where as the starters were very powerful on the other side the main course was as light and subtle with less spices as it should be Mexican chicken, Fish curry and so on accompanied by their on house drink Mojito which was awesome to none as I always love to have Cocktail Mojito but I was always wrong that mock-tail wont give the same flavors as mocktail does so I was wrong giving a perfect punch and balancing all flavors of mint and lime chunk was giving the same kick as a mojito should do. all in all it was a combined effort from the staff as all people were down to earth.
